Most rewarding aspects of your engagement with the UC Hastings community
Seeing the growth and development of students makes my heart want to burst. I also adore interfacing with people throughout the campus. The connections, talent and kindness within our community are immeasurable.
A recent community-oriented project you’ve spearheaded
Organizing the LEOP 50th anniversary celebration.
A particularly meaningful experience as a mentor
My connection with mentee Adriana Mendez ’18, a LEOP alumna, led me to Hastings to become LEOP director.
Particularly meaningful honors
Game Changer Award from LEOP students; Outstanding Leadership Award from UC Hastings; Academic Coaching Excellence award for my volunteer work tutoring students in English who were striving to earn their high school diplomas at Civicorps Academy in Oakland.
Most important way the Hastings community enriches your life
By providing me with the opportunity to thrive by doing work I enjoy and am passionate about.
